Robbie is from Edinburgh, Scotland and has been heavily involved with the local coaching scene over the last six years. He has reached Level 4 in the SFA coaching badges and gained a practical coaching merit in his Sports Coaching with Development HND in 2006. Whilst studying he coached for the SFA, Edinburgh Leisure and Coerver Scotland.

From 2006 - 2009 Robbie worked as Football Co-ordinator for Edinburgh's World of Football complex, the most popular indoor facility in the Lothians. His role involved running the youth development programme, including camps, tournaments and leagues.

For the last five years Robbie has been head coach of Lochend YFC. Taking them to back to back promotions, before passing the team on in 2009.

Robbie is the U16 and U17 MPS Portland Phoenix Girls Coach.
