Welcome to the Gorham Youth Soccer Association!

Gorham Youth Soccer Association (GYSA) travel program provides Gorham youth with a competitive playing environment. Our mission statement is to develop well balanced successful individuals in a competitive team environment through instruction of the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of soccer. We do this with an exceptional coaching staff and well organized club supporting our players.

Travel Soccer Commitment:
The season starts the 1^st full week of August with games starting late August weekends. A typical week would include two practices and games on Saturday, Sunday, or both days. All players are expected to attend all practices and games. The season ends late October or early November. The Gorham Travel Soccer program has helped to develop outstanding Varsity and Collage soccer players.  However, travel soccer is a fairly heavy time and physical commitment for the players and their parents. Everyone needs to know in advance what is expected. We have exceptional municipal recreation programs and school programs for those who do not want the extra commitment.

GYSA Calendar Date Event Description 5/28/2010 U9-U11 Fall Travel Sign-up Deadline Players must register for fall soccer through Gorham Rec and attend the assessment night. More... All kids interested in playing U9-U11 travel soccer must register for fall soccer through Gorham Rec and attend the assessment night. Deadline for fall sign with GYSA is May 28th. Simply indicate on the Rec Registration form if you are interested in playing GYSA and plan to attend the Assessment night. Following the assessment all kids who expressed interest will be placed in either Rec or Travel soccer depending on skill level. Please see all age eligibility, program costs and schedule commitment on the website. Assessment nights are June 2nd and 3rd at YourSpace. 6/2/2010 GYSA U9-U11 Girls Assessment Night 6:00-7:00PM Girls U9 & U10 7:00-8:00PM Girls U11 More... It is recommend that those wishing to play GYSA complete 2 years of Rec play. Birth certificates and full payment is required if placed in the travel program. GYSA will host a uniform night on June 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at YourSpace. New players are encouraged to come try items on for size. For those who already know sizes this form can be printed, completed and mailed with payment to GYSA. Orders without payments will not be placed. We will not be accepting orders all season long. Please try on your items now and get your order in.
